Chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda is the best experience that enables you to explore Nyungwe forest National park. It gives you a chance to watch various primates which are residents of the park.
Nyungwe forest National park covers an area of approximately 1000 sq.km, the park is one of the world’s most beautiful and pristine mountain rainforests. It’s believed to be one of Africa’s oldest forests, staying green even through the Ice Age, which explains its diversity.
The park is home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primates species (including a 400-strong troop of habituated Ruwenzori Black and White Colobus), it’s also a birder’s haven with over 300 species, plus 16 endemics, and 75 different species of mammal.
